7inch at Green Man

Friday, 15th August 6:00 PM
- Saturday, 16th August 3:00 AM

at Glanusk Park, near Abergavenny

Driving home last summer from a mighty if muddy weekend showing films at the Green Man Festival (pictured top right, thanks to Simon Fox), we were all abuzz with the stuff you could put on at an event like this. One year on they've kindly given us a bigger slot, and we hope to pack in as much as we can. Including:

Live stuff

Rapturously received at last year's Flatpack opening, Mr Hopkinson's Computer will be making the trip from Bristol to present all your indie favourites in a unique fashion. There's also a chance to enjoy the finger-picking electronica and super 8 dreamworld of hardened camper Bibio (Mush records).

Films

Ever since we discovered the joys of Forbidden Zone we've been seeking the right midnight slot, and this is it. It's probably best that you don't know too much about the film before experiencing it, but suffice to say it's a musical in the style of a 30s cartoon with Danny Elfman as Satan. Earlier in the day you can enjoy warped stop-frame gem Blood Tea and Red String, and a portrait of the Waterson family in Travelling for a Living.

Plus...

DJs from Sugarfoot Stomp, a tripped-out tumble through the warped underground of Psychedelic Psynema courtesy of Outer Sight and plenty of shorts and animation besides. Come and find us in the filmtent...
